This past weekend, we were able to spend a lot of time with family who came up for Porter's baby blessing on Sunday. The weekend was tons of fun and started out with Fuz, Michelle, Nash, and my Dad and Mom coming up on Friday night (Preston's birthday) to camp out at Mormon Lake. We spent a few hours out there with them, and then Cody, Preston, Porter and I came home to sleep in our comfy beds since we had spent the entire day driving to Show Low and car shopping. The next morning, Fuz, Dad and Cody went fishing while the rest of us enjoyed sleeping in. Daniel, Abbey, Olivia, Reese, Coy, Wes, Asae, Toa and Noa came up later that afternoon to join in the fun. We all took the kids fishing over at the duck pond behind one of the middle schools here in town, and it was by far the most succesful fishing trip I have ever been on! Almost every time you threw your line in, it would come back with a little sun fish on it. While they are not very big, I appreciate quantity more than quality while fishing (much to Cody's dismay). The kids loved it, and had a blast catching fish, throwing them back, digging for worms in the mud, and playing kickball with Uncle Fuz. That night we all took our Sequoia/Pilots convoy into the woods to do some spotlighting for elk and check out the Lava Tubes. It was quite the adventure hiking 8 kids, under 5 years old, and 10 adults down into the caves at 9:30 at night, but a lot of fun! When Michelle e-mails me the pictures of us down in them, I'll add them to this post- Thanks Michelle! ;o)
Sunday was Porter's baby blessing and Cody did such a wonderful job. The Spirit was so strong and it was a beautiful blessing. That is one thing that I love about Cody- he definitely has a gift for being close to the Spirit and helping every one else to be able to feel it through the inspiration he recieves and shares as well as his testimony. Porter is such a sweet little boy and has such a great spirit- Cody and I are so blessed to have two amazing little boys, who we have already learned so much from.
After the blessing, we all headed over to Cody's parents house for a little BBQ to tell everyone thanks for coming. This was the only time that I even thought to get my camera out during the entire weekend- bummer! :o( It was a great weekend, we had a lot of fun, are so grateful for Porter, and for everyone who came to support us and even those who wanted to but couldn't. We love you guys! :o)

And especially "Thank You" to Aunt Camilla who bought Porter his adorable little blessing outfit!
