My husband, Cody, LOVES TO HUNT. Anything and everything that has a season to hunt, you can be sure that Cody will take FULL advantage of it! It's actually one of the things I really do love about him. He gets so excited and eagar to hunt, he is a very successful hunter, and he knows how to take care of and cook his game! He is definitely not wasteful, which is part of what makes me okay with his little hunting obsession ;o)
Soooo, last week started SQUIRREL SEASON. Yes, there really is a SQUIRREL SEASON. I learned about it soon after Cody and I started dating when he picked me up for a date and presented me with a freshly "picked" squirrel tale. It's a wonder I didn't fall head over heels for him at that very second, No?? Ewww.
Anyway, Cody has been taking Preston squirrel hunting pretty much ever since he was born, but this is the first year that Preston really was able to enjoy it. Cody, Preston, Porter, Cody's best friend Chad, and I all headed out to do a little squirrel hunting yesterday, and I must say that the boys were VERY succesful. Chad and Cody took care of the hunting, and Preston would carry the squirrels back to the truck by their tales acting extremely proud. Poor little boy is so desensitized already... Porter hung out with mom in the back of the truck, just happy as a clam to be outside.

We really had a great day together being outdoors and enjoying the beautiful weather and nature. Sportsmen really are the biggest proponents of the outdoors and have the best understanding of how it all works together to stay balanced and beautiful. They take advantage of all it has to offer and respect it as thy should, as opposed to those silly little tree huggers who are very extreme and ignorant to the whole "circle of life" process :)

Off my soap box now... I think someday I may need a daughter after all. As "fun as squirrel hunting IS" I don't think it would be hard for me to shine on at the request of a pedicure or massage instead... :o)
After a hard days work!
Oh, and did I mention that Preston is potty training?? :o)

That is fabulous. Anytime you want to go and get a pedicure, you let me know. Oh and Marty would like a recipe for squirrel dumplings.
